Elect              Michael Hall

911 Board

chairman

member at large

position currently held by

 Don O’Brien

I WILL BRING DEDICATION, EXPERIENCE

AND KNOWLEDGE OF ALL THE EMERGENCY SERVICES;

COMMUNICATIONS,

LAW ENFORCEMENT;

FIRE &  EMS

TO THE 911 BOARD.

I was born and raised in the Powell area and currently live there with my wife, Kimberly, and my kids, Caitlin and Caleb.

I work at the McDonald County Sheriff’s Office and have for the past 12 years.  I worked as a dispatcher/jailer

at the sheriff’s office and a dispatcher at the McDonald County 911 center.  My current job is operations deputy for the sheriff’s office where I supervise deputies and jailers.

I currently work part time for Freeman Ambulance service and have been a Missouri licensed EMT since 1995.

I am also a volunteer member of McDonald County Emergency Management, McDonald  County Local Emergency Planning

Committee and the Pineville Fire Department.

I want to bring my experience and knowledge to the 911 board.  In all of my endeavors I try to learn more and more.  I want to get people involved that can either give me knowledge or training on what I want to accomplish.

Over the past couple of years I have worked hard on getting the Missouri Sheriff’s Association Training

Academy to provide classes to law enforcement officers in the county and also helped bring the training academy to McDonald County to put on several basic law enforcement academies here in our county.

I have worked with previous 911 directors to keep the 911 system up to date by getting grants and being proactive to keep up with growing technology.

I believe that the board is also an important part of keeping all of our emergency services current on radio and computer technology.

All of the emergency services should work together and I will strive to keep the lines of communication open.

Things I feel can be changed and accomplished when I am elected include:

  1. Run as a governmental entity, not a private venture.
  2. Run by the board as an entity not controlled by one person.
  3. Bring it into compliance with state law regarding how taxes are used, bids are made and approved, and information stored.
  4. Insure that the board hires a competent director who can run the operations of the center without daily conferences.

I cannot promise there will not be bumps because any change will be for the good and the county will have its 911 center properly operated.

This brochure is being printed by   Eric Harris, the Awful One, because I believe Michael Hall is an outstanding young man who will bring a lot to the 911 Board.

He began as a volunteer firefighter, he became an EMT and worked on the ambulance for several years before joining the sheriff’s office as a deputy.  He has been the school officer and a DARE officer.  He has also worked as dispatcher both in the jail and for 911 center.  I am not personally running for any office.  Over the years I have worked to help our county.  In 1986 I was told the ambulance service would not work, but it did.  We built a communication system to cover the county that worked until 911 took over.  I worked to get 911 on the ballot since the county needed it.  I do not think it has worked properly since initiated because those in charge do not want to listen to anyone but themselves.  Don’t you think it is time to correct that problem by electing someone to the board who is not currently connected to 911 and what is going on.  Elect someone who is experienced in all phases of emergency communications and not in to build a name for himself but to work for the county’s best interest.  So I am asking you to vote for Michael Hall.  This position has been held by Don O’Brien since 911 was originated.  It is time for new leadership.

VOTE!  ELECT

MICHAEL  HALL

TO BE CHAIRMAN OF THE 911 BOARD FOR McDONALD COUNTY!

Isn’t it about time we get a board that allows the director to do his/her job and replace the director if he/she is unable to do so without daily supervision?  It is also time to have a chairman who knows about communications systems, knows the community and can work with the citizens and the various entities involved with 911 dispatching.

VOTE NOV 4

GREGG SWEETEN

REPUBLICAN

CANDIDATE FOR SHERIFF

Currently the under-sheriff for Don. Together they have brought the sheriff’s department up to how we would expect a sheriff’s office to be run. Let’s go forward with what we have, not start all over again.
