Here it is, almost the middle of August. School will start in a few days so we all need to be on the lookout for children in crosswalks, on the streets, darting out from between cars, and riding their bikes.
The annual Jesse James Days festivities will be held in Pineville this week Wednesday thru Saturday. Looking at the weather it appears we can expect it to be a nice end of summer event. Esther and I plan to be there Thursday and Friday, maybe even Saturday, visiting with people on why I think some things do not need to be changed and why 911 needs a drastic facelift.
You may think I am just on the outside looking in but I still see a lot of the internal actions and what and why much is being done wrong. I am the one that instigated the 911 system. You believed me and helped me get it passed. Now believe me that we need to get rid of some of the old and bring in new. Be sure to get out and vote November 4th. Change what needs changed and keep what is working well. Elect people who can work well together for the betterment of our county.
