I think this was one Father’s Day week end I won’t forget for a while.  The kids took me floating down Big Sugar Creek from Cyclone to Sugar Island.  That was my first real float trip (river rescues don’t count) in over 20 years.  It was nice to get out and let the world slide by while I enjoyed the scenery.  The river certainly has changed over the years.

Back to the real world this Monday morning means the usual Monday difficulties.  I don’t even want to turn the television on any more.  Between the stupid shows (including some of the fact finding programs) and movies and the Republican and Democrat political propaganda, I want to become a hermit.  That is almost impossibility as there is no place left to hide.  So I guess I will just have to make a few comments, upset a few people, make a few stop and think, and enjoy life.  It really does no good to mouth anyone except when you go to bed at night you can feel that you have put your two cents worth in and you can sleep better.  Maybe if everybody would get the same attitude as I have and speak up, there could be some good done.   You will never know.

Esther and I plan to make it to the 911 meeting this week and listen to their plans and progress.  I think it will be interesting.

We also plan to make it to the June 28th Republican Club meeting at Kenny and Kathy Underwood’s place in Pineville.  I am not sure where the Democrat Club is meeting this month.  Politics are beginning to worry me.  I am not sure which party will out the other in helping change or perhaps destroy our world.  I think next year’s election campaigns will be very interesting.  They are already getting fired up.  All I can say is you have to listen and then you can only hope you have made the right choice.
